henry ford's huge mechanical sphincter...

love the low angle, lending some majestic grandeur to the structure. excellent light and texture, of course. makes me think of some dystopian future (1984, equilibrium, that sort of thing)

This makes me think of some science fiction movie for some reason. Has a very ominous feel...

On technical merit... the b & w are perfect, and the clarity is amazing. I wish I could afford to use film.....

there's just something so beautiful about early industrial development. something about the mindsets that created such devices. somehow this reminds me of fritz lang's metropolis. great shot!
